We have now opened a new vibrant community market in a fantastic, prime town centre site. Where tradition meets modernity, with quality goods, great value, and a welcoming place to shop, eat, and meet.

The new market provides a significantly improved experience for customers and traders alike with a wider choice of stalls and facilities in a corner unit within the Barons Quay shopping centre.

This new market replaces the old market within Weaver Square, a short distance away, which will be demolished and replaced with new homes as part of an ambitious plan to regenerate the town centre.

This has been the biggest investment in Northwich Market since 1960s and the new market has benefited from an investment of around £1.8 million to enable a town centre market to remain open – and create a market ready for the future where current and future traders can thrive.

New Market Open for Business!

Sixty years after the former Northwich Market opened, a new chapter begins with the opening of a brand-new market at Barons Quay.

The ribbon was cut by Northwich Mayor Councillor Robert Cernik, and Deputy Mayor, Councillor Rachel Waterman, and all the market’s nineteen stalls opened for business.

Occupying a prime corner location within Barons Quay, the new market will offer a significantly improved experience for customers and traders alike with a wider choice of stalls and facilities.
